Note: 112 is Nigeria's official national toll-free emergency number, run by the NCC through Emergency Communication Centres (ECCs). As of 2024 the ECCs were operational in most states with expansion toward all 36 states + FCT ongoing — coverage and response quality still vary locally, to confirm for your state. 199 is the older national line and remains in service. Keep the direct number of the nearest state fire service, police division and hospital as a backup where 112 is not yet reliable.
